You're conflating the terminology of ZMM and LILA. Remember that in LILA,
the "Quality" of ZMM is "Dynamic Quality".

You are merely pointing out why ZMM is well read and admired, while Lila is
regarded as, "meh..." One would be better served to cross out dynamic and
capitalize Quality throughout Lila. Pirsig when asked about this by Paul
Turner gives this off the cuff nod to the fact that he confused the terms
but rather than admit to the typos in Lila says he supposes we could just
omit Quality from the MoQ. This is ludicrous on its face.

As DM has suggested SQ is also experienced as reverberations of the past
echoing in the present.

Static quality is what emerges from the moment of experience. You're
statement here is, as Dan pointed out, very laden with S/O thinking. It
basically turns SQ into "objects" and then says "we" experience these
"objects". We do not experience objects, subjects and objects emerge FROM
experience.

But we do have experiences (plural) and they are not experienced as unique.
Our experience itself is habitual and reflexive. I blink every time air is
blown into my eye regardless of the source or the air. This is a static
pattern encoded in my biology. My "eye" or DM's banana are experienced
through the lens of habits of thought. Those habits are a network of
interconnectioned branches feeding into trunks and out to leaves as you say.
"Eye" and "Banana" are neither fixed nor separate. They are nodal.

In the immediate moment of experience, that pre-intellectual moment of
awareness, there are no subjects and no objects, "we" do not experience
"stuff", both "we" AND "stuff" emerge from the experience. Quality FIRST.
Subjects and objects SECOND.

The endless nattering about "pre-intellectual" this and that is exactly the
problem of mysticism and mystery. Rubbish, it is the mere glorification of
sleep and catatonia. The conceptual arises out of the perceptual.
Unconscious processes congeal into consciousness. Signifiers stand in for
what is signified. Signifieds are not "objects" they are internal states;
nodal resonances.
