[MD] Really? Is that all there is?

[Ham]
I'll skip the remainder of Krimel's post, which is mainly a criticism of Arlo's interpretation of the SOM/MOQ ontology.
[Arlo]
If you're going to use terms like "SOM" and "interpretation", Ham, at least make half an effort to use them correctly. Otherwise, as in the above, you're just making yourself look foolish.
This is not an interpretation, its a quote:
"This means Quality is not just the result of a collision between subject and object. The very existence of subject and object themselves is deduced from the Quality event. The Quality event is the cause of the subjects and objects, which are then mistakenly presumed to be the cause of the Quality!" (ZMM)
SOM: Subjects and objects are primary (they precede Quality).
MOQ: Quality is primary (it precedes subjects and objects), and, "Quality is not a thing. It is an event." (ZMM)
Ham: A vain source-thing needing to be adored and worshiped is primary, and negated itself so that "sensible agents" could sing "Hallelujah, Our God is Negated!".
I understand you disagree with Pirsig. And I understand that like a vulture you come swooping in any time you see anyone, for any reason, expressing disagreement with Pirsig in order to peddle your little pet thesis. But if you're going to use my name in a sentence, at least make an effort to use the other words in it correctly.
[Ham]
Thanks for the opportunity. I hope these comments make some sense without offending the orthodoxy.
[Arlo]
Ah, the smell of bait and insincerity in the morning. Yes, Ham, you are a glorious rebel martyr condemned by the orthodoxy for speaking out for all that is true and just in the world, while us sniveling, cowardly priests continue to dwell in the mud of Pirsig's confusion and errors. How foolish of us to cast you out, poor Ham the noble prophet, when we've been created by your source through its all but humble act of self-negation to heap upon it the adulation it so badly desires. Yes, we are the "orthodoxy", Ham, and you are the valiant hero, perhaps one of Krimel's "enlightened" who have nobly entered our world to save us from ourselves (although Krimel "speaks MOQ", which must be some demon tongue to the sensitive and discerning ears of an Essentialist, so used to hearing only the musical windchimes echoing the vanity of the primary source).
Sigh.
