[Joe]
I have respect for Pirsig. His intelligence is breath taking. I do not
understand the forms he creates.
[Krimel]
It would seem you are not the only one.
[Joe]
What is a common ground between the indefinable and the definable?
Experience in consciousness! The indefinable is the experience in
consciousness only DQ.
[Krimel]
What is the common ground between the back of your hand and the palm?
Being conscious of DQ would be like seeing with the back of your hand.
Memory is consciousness, a palm grasping.
Experience is a series of habitual responses to random events.
[Joe]
The definable is experience in sentient/consciousness DQ/SQ.
[Krimel]
We don't define what we do until we explain what we did.
[Joe]
Instinct reveals indefinable forms in, for the lack of better words,
pre-emotional structure.
[Krimel]
Instinct unconceals itself through biology.
It can't be helped.
As creatures, we have needs
for food and comfort and others.
We can guard against our baser instincts.
But it takes a culture to raise a village.
Instinct is one thing but the truth is,
I think, habits are more dangerous.
While we go through their motions, doing the same-old-same-old...
They lurk in the corners of our consciousness
Taking smoke breaks and making a mess of thing
While we plod on unmindful of their presence.
