Arlo,
If there is no exploring the MoQ, where when one makes such an attempt they are stopped mind-sentence with accusations of 'Wrong interpretation!' and served up supposedly quotes specifying the right way to interpret RMP's words, we should have trading-cards made up with various quotes and just trade them back and forth. "This trumps your quote!"

I can make the argument that my 'translation' is better than Pirsig's (I won't here), but I'm not pretending that my 'interpretation' is really what he meant to say (or that my interpretation saves him from himself). To do this, I have read his words. I do understand them. And I reject them in lieu of something better.
Kill exploration too! Just hand me your favored quote.

Wow! A mind-reader too. What a quality person that makes you. Who needs substance when you have quotes.
"Unlike subject-object metaphysics the Metaphysics of Quality does not insist on a single exclusive truth." (LILA, Chapter 8)
"The Metaphysics of Quality says there can be many competing truths and it is value that decides among them. This is the very essence of William James' philosophy of Pragmatism which Bohr greatly admired. The name "Complementarity" itself means there can be multiple truths."
