My dictionary says:
1 Logic--The science concerned with the principles of valid reasoning and
correct inferences, either deductive or inductive
2. Method of reasoning, inference, either deductive of inductive
5. The basis principles of reasoning
developed by and applicable to any field of knowledge.
Etc.
