Hi Joe,

The interesting thing about literacy and other technology is that it demonstrates that these patterns do live beyond consciousness.  They are recorded in a recognizable and repeatable formats: page, tape, disc, &etc.  You said "Logic is a ghost and mathematics is unreal.  Now what was I saying?" in response to RMP's statement "Ghosts trying to find their place among the living.''   But patterns also require a relationship, an interdependency, with consciousness.  Or that's one way to consider it.
