Well yes, there is a lot of dialectical thinking in Continental philosophy but this is "dialectical" in the Hegelian or Marxist sense of the word. Rather than a dialogue or debate in pursuit of the "Truth" in the Platonic sense, the contemporary, Continental meaning of the word is about the "logic" of history. Hegel's version is a highly rationalistic form of idealism while Marx's version was highly materialistic but in both cases they saw history as unfolding through a dialectical logic. On this view, each stage of history negates  and transcends the previous stage.
It seems very far-fetched and useless to me either way, but lots of smart people take it seriously.
