[MD] Greetings and Happy New Year

Hi John
Good to see you back!

I sort of looked into the other list you mention but it seemed pretty much
a waste of time, and the older I get the less time I have.

I was hoping to engage Marsha in a discussion but as always whenever it
started to get half-way interesting she turned a cold shoulder to it and
began mumbling about ever-changing contexts and insulting me with
poorly-veiled innuendos. Sort of reminds me of Uncle Bo and his gentle
demeanor to everyone who happened to disagree with him.

Unfortunately, such shenanigans began to pull down the entire discussion
group. Those who are looking for serious interactions with others are put
off and either stop contributing or unsubscribe all together. Soon, all
that's left is sheer goofiness.

We should all appreciate the opportunity we have here to discuss Robert
Pirsig's ideas. Horse provides an excellent venue for us to share ideas and
compare our interpretations of the MOQ... he should be commended for all
his time and money he puts into it.

Anyway, I haven't read the book you mentioned but yes, less antagonism
would probably be a good thing. For my part, I'll be more congenial too, at
least until I'm not.

Thank you,

Dan
