Hi Adrie,

Yes, the manatees. The Crystal river is a little south of Satsuma, where I
live, but in the warmer months the manatees journey up the St. Johns as
well and into the rivers, creeks, and canals that adjoin it. I haven't seen
her this year, but last year we had a mamma manatee and her baby visit the
canal back of my house. It was pretty cool that I could actually wake in
the morning and look out the window to see her languidly drifting by.
