[Mark]
I am a little confused here.  What are the criteria for an intellectual
pattern?

[Arlo]
Reason. Although not necessarily S/O reason, for sure.

[Mark]
Both evolution and creationism are intellectual patterns.

[Arlo]
Wrong. Creationism was a social level pattern (theism) masquerading as an
intellectual pattern (science). It failed, thankfully, although it did set the
stage for the reductionist tactics you are trying to push.
[Mark]
OK, we are not speaking the same language.  In my language, creationism was
created by the intellect.  Science is intellect masquerading as high Quality.
It is self serving.  Why would the intellect place itself above all else?
Don't you think it's kind of suspect?  Sometimes it is difficult to challenge
one's own belief system, this is why the church has the stranglehold it
does.  Oh, I forgot, you claim that science is not a belief, somehow it is
real.  How did that happen?

I remember the PC discussion.  We can agree to disagree.
