[MD] Freedom

Well Arlo, I like playing the "ambiguous rhetoric" game. So yeah, I can
appreciate the poetic skill in shifting the meaning of "luck" around to suit
your argument.

Luck can be an expression of randomness, or it can be an expression of
fortune - "I got lucky last night" doesn't mean I experienced a random act
of kindness. It usually means I was fortunate in my endeavors to get laid.

So I do feel fortunate to be here. I don't believe in any kind of
mechanistic or controlled existence, I believe in my own freedom. I take
freedom as fundamental, in fact, Value is meaningless without the freedom to
choose, so I assert, with you the primacy of choice and freedom. I disagree
with you about the concomittant ideas of freedom being dependent upon
randomness or chaos. A clear-cut and unambiguous philosophical difference
between us.

Ummm... the point about the "boasting" wasn't about me boasting, it was you
objecting to my accusation of your boasting, and I was pointing out that
when I said you're boasting I wasn't being accusing or pejorative.

You're boasting your alive. You are alive. It ain't perjorative boasting
if its true. See?

Good. I'll drink to that.

With you Arlo, any day. Name the pub.

John
