The anti-theist view is against theists.  It needs to diminish the position
of theism to elevate itself.  The theist does not need to diminish the
position of science or existentialism to feel good.

We've recently debated the relative merits of evolution vs. creationism.  As
mentioned, creationism is now afforded a section in the Biology books in use
in Texas public schools.  

I received my copy of "Vanity Fair" the other day.  It's the one with a
picture of Tiger Woods on the cover with his shirt off and a semi-menacing
expression on his face.  Rather, uh, revealing on multiple levels.  Anyway,
in the current issue is an article about the new $27 million "Creation
Museum" which recently opened.  

An educational article.  Here is a small quote:

"According to the museum, their extinction [dinosaurs] was caused by men
killing them, possibly for sport. I will later learn that this may have
happened in the Middle Ages, when dinosaurs breathed fire and were hunted by
knights."  

Unfortunately, the Biology textbook my son has did a disservice to
creationism.  It left out this fact.  IMO, if a textbook is going to
introduce a concept, it should explain it fully.  I wonder why the State of
Texas left this pivotal information out?  When is the field-trip going to
be?
