[Joe]
Your enthusiasm is breathtaking and wonderful! Thank You! I take your
meaning for ³dummies² to be ³mathematically challenged².

[Krimel]
Thanks, Joe. I used "dummies" in reference to a series of books that are
entitled "fill in the blank For Dummies" They provide simple readable
introductions on a wide range of topics from training your dog to
programming in C++. For example here is one that Ant might find helpful:
http://www.amazon.com/Filmmaking-Dummies-Bryan-Michael-Stoller/dp/0470386940
/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1276690572&sr=8-5

Sometimes the titles sound redundant like "Macs for Dummies". There is a
completing series call the "Complete Idiots Guide to ..." I once asked the
author of "The Complete Idiots Guide to MP3" if his title was redundant
since only an idiot would have trouble using MP3s. The author assured me
that unlike the "dummies" series, the title of his book referred to the
author not the reader.

I have locked
myself into a cage with ³1² so that maybe 2 will make sense. I think I see
the 1 of mathematics and logic, but I am damned if I can corral the ³1² of
evolution except by a word ³individuation². To go from 1 to a ³higher
intellectual² capability is an evolutionary stretch that I don¹t see
clearly.

I am pretty sure that one or the other of these series has a book to help
cure whatever ails you. But it seems to me that the problem isn't getting
from 1 to 2 but in getting from 0 to 1. That can also cause headaches. While
traveling the rail system in Boston we passed a building on Beacon St. with
the address 1101 printed in large letters. I thought to myself isn't 13 an
unlucky number?

[Joe]
Maybe if I sit in my playpen long enough with my excrement for a
plaything something will occur to me since I am too old to go back to
school.

[Krimel]
Perhaps that’s why I like caring for my grandkids. If I help them with their
poo now maybe they won't mind helping me with mine in a few years.
