I've tried to  understand your 'coherence' & 'sweet spot' theory, but 
so far it just  doesn't ring true for me.  That just might be I 
haven't viewed it  from the proper perspective.

When you blend Blue and Yellow you aim at a third colour don't you?
Well, imagine the colour you aim at is DQ and blue and yellow are sq.
That's coherence:
The motorcycle is just right when the bike (blue) and person (yellow) are  in 
their best relationship (yellow).
In order for this analogy to work you have to think of, 'yellow' as a  colour 
you have never seen before.
