hi there everybody.
for new years this year i went to a party in the west
end of brisbane. i had some LSD along with a few
others. had a great time at the party but it is new
year's day i want to talk about.
as ant's hoffman post explained, LSD is a great way to
re-connect to nature. hoffman was remarkably strident
about the value of this and i am in total accord. One
of the weaknesses of the MOQ seems to be (i may be
wrong; it may not have been explained well yet) that
it doesn't seem to emphasise the importance of this
reconnection.
anyway the next day i managed to avoid any real
hangover. i drank a lot of tea and smoked quite a few
joints (tip!). it was when my friends and i walked to
try and get some food nearby, walking along a very
busy road, that i became aware of the visual intensity
of the trees, plants, and especially flowers. it was
almost as if the flowers were faces.

usually this walk is quite a stress: noisy, and a
self-conscious under the gazes of dozens of oncoming
motorists. this day was different. no anxiety at all.
i seemed to be a ble to shut out the annoying stuff
and just focus on the living stuff: the plants and
insects aswell: butterflies especially. it was like a
had just realised how bloody beautiful it all was and
how that beauty, at least in part, was for me. felt
good.
