My only quibble here would be with the word 'conclude'. It's more (for me) a 
case that the old world view stopped making sense, revelation (mystics) 
speaks of the sort of thing you say here, and so this kind of statement 
becomes a starting point for a world that does make sense in ways the old 
one didn't (and without losing the ways the old one makes sense).
