MIcah (and DM mentioned),

     [Micah]
But, I guess it's comforting to point at a system and
lay blame than to look in the mirror.

     (1) To lay blame to a system or something else,
and then to have something or somebody looking in the
mirror, doesn't that imply that the system is separate
from the person in the mirror? If the system, as you
imply, is separated from the person in the mirror,
then how might we gain access to this system?
     (2) Isn't blaming the system, blaming the person
the mirror, too? So, change yourself, and you change
the system?
     (3) I guess I'm goin' back to this point you
have made before Micah. If 'man is the measure of all
things' then again, how can you 'the man' not blame a
system in which you measure. Wouldn't blame be a
measure?
     (4) Micah, I think what your really trying to
say is you can't blame the system, because you don't
blame the person in the mirror. In other words, you
like the system, so, you can't blame it or yourself
for anything unworthy or of value about the system.
     (5) I don't think, as Stella tried, a complete,
plain-spoken answer as to how the free market and
capitalism is different. All that I've read so far is
the free market and capitalism is different, but no
depth to how this difference is valid. By the way
Stella, if you don't want Platt involved in the
discussion, ignore his comments, and go on with the
discussion. I don't see how he can slow you down, or
make your discussion come up short on what you would
like to say.
     (6) Micah and DM the discussion is over the
system, not this person in the mirror who floats
outside the system. Since DM blames the system, I
assume he's blaming the person in the mirror, as well.
I don't think DM has figured out a way to have a
computer and be outside of the system, have you DM?

Thanks,
SA

P.S. As we go on discussing the person in the
mirror and the system, maybe, I would like to just
say: the woods.
