[MD] vegetarianism

I do not practice vegetarianism but I do eat meat sparingly, for both health
and ethical reasons. I have a lot of concern about factory farming, it
appears a very inhumane practice. With regards to health, the human
digestive tract is clearly not designed to eat large amounts of meat. It is
very long, so that meat will start to decompose and does not have the acid
to break it down, just like most herbivores in the wild. It has been shown
in parts of the world where meat is used much more sparingly the rates of
cancer are much lower. I would also ask anyone here to consider for
themselves how much energy they have after eating a big slab of beef for
dinner. I know I have a lot more energy for things since I cut down on meat.
I would also say that Pirsig's comments regarding meat eating and the MOQ
are valid.

Regards,
David.

hello.

interested to know who on the list is vegetarian.

the MOQ seems to say that vegetarianism is more moral
than eating meat. bob himself says this in Lila of
course.

is this correct? is vegetarianism more moral?

is it incorrect? is bob wrong?

if you are not vegetarian, why? is this an ethical
dilemma for you or do you not give a shit?

just want see who walks the talk around here.
