all beliefs contain a lie.

 one can have knowledge of ultimate reality. we have
access to that knowledge all the time. it is called
self-knowledge. 'gnothi se auton': know thyself. 

self-knowledge is obscured sometimes by that lesser
variety of knowledge - reason - that we often take as
being the only sort there is.

we don't need to invent fairytales, but they can be
fun....just as long as you remember that they are
allegorical.
