[Mark previously]
There's not one syllable in the hoax paper which is personal in that it is
attacking, insulting, threatening, abusive, or in any sense denigrating to
anyone let alone Anthony.

[Arlo]
Then what do the syllables do? What value do they add to the MOQ?

[Mark]
You've lapsed into nonsense now. This is gibberish.

[Arlo]
Gibberish? I think the question is straightforward. If there is "not one
syllable" that is personal in that is attacking, insulting, etc. What do
those
syllables do? (See this is merely a play on your words) Do they advance the
MOQ? Do they point out intellecutal flaws? Do they add value?

Mark 18-11-06: Hello Arlo,
There is a note of hysteria creeping into the posts submitted by you and
most notably dmb.
This is getting in the way of clear understanding.
Prior to this syllable thing, you stated that you were satisfied with
Anthony's assurance the paper was, 'personal.'
But hysteria has lost site of this assertion. May i remind you that my
response to this statement of yours indicates a total lack of personal
vilification.

Arlo:
You keep saying this, "it happened". Okay. It happened. The information is
readily available, any reasonable person would conclude that it is only a few
clicks away from Ant's site. Why is it so critical Ant advertise it? Just
becaue "it happened"? Sorry, I don't feel Ant's integrity suffers because he
doesn't feel he should personally advertise someone's attempt to ridicule
him.

Mark 18-11-06:
Anthony let himself open to ridicule Arlo.
It's done.
The hoax paper has taught Anthony a valuable lesson and he will be so much
more careful in future.
I suggest that laughing it off in a spirit of, 'Fair play you got me on that
one' would completely remove the sting.
Instead, Anthony appears, although i am not insisting this is so, Anthony
appears to have something to hide.
This is supported by Horse's collaboration at moq.org and a request for
psybertron to remove material from his site too.

Arlo:
Indeed, I am absolutely indifferent to it. I could care less if he puts it up
or refuses to acknowledge it, because it is a meaningless incident that does
nothing for the philosophy.

Mark 18-11-06:
Yes, it certainly looks that way.

Arlo:
All it does is speak to social jealousy and
conflict. What information do I think newbies need? Supportive information.
Reasoned statements of opposition. Papers that advance the MOQ, deal with its
shortcomings, integrate it into other bodies of thought and modes of action.
That you find it _so_ necessary that a newcomer know Ant got scammed, just
because "it happened", is to me an empty, meaningless battle. But it is your
right to wage it.

Mark 18-11-06:
Arlo, Anthony is not the moq.
The moq didn't, 'get scammed.'
Now, The moq suggests:
'Intellectual values include truth, justice, freedom, democracy and trial
by
jury.' (McWatt. 2004. p. 95)
If Anthony wishes to promote the moq he can't choose to find it inconvenient
when it suits him.
Re: Battle. In keeping with the hysterical tone language has become
hyperbolic.
No one is at war.

[Mark]
Adhering to personalities forms the basis for cults. If you fail to present
sound intellectual arguments and simply rally to a personality because that
personality has made a buffoon of itself, you may be actually reinforcing a
cult of personality rather than intellectual truth. Think about it.

[Arlo]
That's insulting, Mark.

Mark 18-11-06:
I think i can see the next step: dmb and Arlo send Mark to the Wendy house
while they sit and have a nice cosy cuzzy up to Anthony.

[Mark]
I am beginning to wonder how far intelligent people like yourself are
prepared
to go with this? Earlier on in this thread you began Arlo your approach was
measured and assured. As it has progressed you have multiplied the questions
and become increasingly incoherent.

[Arlo]
Nice talking to you, Mark.

Mark 18-11-06:
There we go!
Love,
Mark
