i don't know if the US has a bit of orwellian history
re-writing going on but it is common knowledge here
and in europe that the vietnam war was instigated by
the americans largely through the CIA, and most
famously through the gulf of tonkin incident.
the vietnam war and knock on stuff in cambodia and
laos and elsewhere was horrible, absolutely
unneccesary and shrouded in doublespeak. now though,
like the jfk assassination, it is seen for what it
was: naked imperialism.
with iraq it is already obvious that there were no
WMDs there and there were no iraqis involved in the
WTC destruction...so why are we there? imperialism. it
serves only the interests of those who, like DMB said,
own the USA - the corporations. (by the way a lot of
companies in nazi germany were owned by american
interests and post WWII all the intellectual property
went where?)
now this is really simple obvious stuff yet i fear
some still cling to the notion of, yes i know it's
bizarre, 'american altruism' being the motivating
factor. for fuck's sake this is ridiculous: destroying
a country for no legitimate reason and killing
millions of civilians....HOW THE FUCK CAN THIS BE
ALTRUISTIC?
Australia, like a good little lapdog, is now using its
military to oppress democracy movements in tonga, PNG,
solomon islands and probably elsewhere in the pacific.
again the only interests being served are those that
OWN the countries involved. the same interests that
own everywhere else.

this isn't democracy. this isn't supportable on any
level other than reducing life to a brutal dog eat dog
affair. it is just plain fucking stupid and evil and
if people can't see this then.....well it indicates,
for one thing, a total lack of sympathy - an inability
to put oneself in the other person's shoes.
we are all in this *together* (can anyone NOT see
this?). it is simple. what is good for all is good for
me aswell; what is good for me is good for all.
simple. logical. we are not isolated egos (SOM); we
are integrated organisms, we are all part of the same
superorganism - gaia - that we are destroying. we are
destroying OURSELVES. it is really that simple.
HOW CAN ANY INTELLIGENT PERSON SUPPORT THE NEEDLESS
DESTRUCTION OF LIFE, OF OURSELVES? IT IS FUCKING
MORONIC.
killing for peace is like fucking for virginity.
