Dr. Ahmadinejad was interviewed early this year(I saw it). Intellectually a brilliant fellow. On par with Britain's PM Tony Blair. The Prez in no where near those guy's league.
The American people might be distracted by facts during this important Christmas shopping season. The Government is happier governing the ignorant masses. Even the first amendment of the Constitution is becoming a burden, I hear.
Gav, The point you made about blogs is one reason why I posted that Blog contact list...last Sunday. So the one person in a thousand, who could use a few more facts to base their opinion on can find things out. The read only WWW is less useful than the read, write interactive blog universe.
The newspapers were probably to full with articles about consumer shopping activity "news" to print a letter to us from the president of one of the key players, in-broiled with America in the political mess we have gotten ourselves into because of the policies of this administration.
Thanks, for doing the media's job and tracking down that letter for us.
Now I am going to read it.

Hello everyone
I read in an article in the newspaper today that the President of Iran, Dr.
Ahmadinejad, has sent the American people a letter but the letter itself
wasn't printed, only an excerpt. The article also mentioned that some time
ago, Dr. Ahmadinejad had sent a letter to President Bush but it wasn't
answered. Go figure.
I thought to myself, well, self, if the man is going to take his time to
write to us, maybe we should at least read it and see if the letter deserves
a response. I found that I was a bit pissed the letter wasn't printed in the
paper but I am sure they have space limitations to worry about and cannot
print stuff from just any bozo who decides to write to us. Still, I never
read "real" newspapers, only the online kind so that rationalization doesn't
hold up well. It smacks of propaganda but what does one expect.
I figured I could find the letter on the net. And sure enough...a quick
google and I discovered Dr. Ahmadinejad has a blog with the letter posted:
http://www.ahmadinejad.ir/
Funny. The man seems quite a nice fellow...not at all the spooky freak that
I keep reading about...the great satan who's threatening to nuke Israel off
the map, destroy all the oil fields in the Middle East, and slap George
Bush's mother around just for good measure.
No, this guy is actually writing a blog... in English! Intellectually, that
seems impressive. And what he says makes quite a lot of sense if you read
past all the holy stuff. I even thought about inviting him to join our
discussion group here but on second thought I figured dmb would probably
chase him away so I didn't.
You can read his writings for yourself and make up your own minds. Hey, a
person can even leave comments for him to read. Pretty cool. I cannot help
but think if more world leaders began blogging that perhaps we could avert
many of the conflicts that arise. Or not.
Thoughts?
