As a kid, we used to look in amazement at the tourists form Saudi and the
gulf state who would come to spend the summer in Beirut.

The women would be covered from head to toe. That was a foreign concept
to us. We respected them but found it odd. I can say that we had a few
devout friends and family member and no one dressed like that.

Unfortunately the pendulum has swung to the right globally. Human nature
can't seem to find the middle ground and stay there. it's either
hedonistic orgies or bible thumping.

The moderates get caught in the middle and patiently await their turn.

of course we hear criticism of why they are not intervening more.

Well their answer is, we have been telling you, but you didn't listen.
You got what you deserve.

The situation in the middle east did not happen overnight, or on Sept
11th as they like us to believe, it's been brewing for the last 50 years.

I read the story about the Russian spy who got killed with radioactive
poison. So now we will be walking around with Geiger counters. Just
great.

Khaled
