The thing about talking about depression is, are we talking about
spiritual and social malaise, or actual clinical depression? Whereas
both the former are purely mental problems, and could theoretically
"run their course" or someone could get jogged out of them, clinical
depression is a biological problem. No amount of mental effort is
likely to help you much with depression unless you get your brain back
up to spec. I feel that drugs are very applicable in that case.

However if all you have is feeling bad cause life sucks, then all I
gotta say is: "Is it worse than electrocution?" Think about it.
