Yes. Good to keep in mind if tempted to worship at the shrine of science.
Also, science attributes all sorts of magical powers to chance, like
the fact that we are here on this planet along with the birds, bees and
butterflies. IMO, chance means "I don't know and haven't the slightest
idea of how to find out." So, might as well call it God, Universal Forms,
or DQ and build a philosophy around it because uncertainty is irritating.

First of all chance as you are thinking about it does not exist. If it did
it would be freedom without restraint which I thought you liked.
As for worship, I a fond of giving sacrifice at the shrine of economics
located at the end of the line seven at the Super Walmart. The priestesses
could use a little work but the ROI is usually satisfying.
