"Shoot dead?" I assume in war you shoot to kill, to "shoot dead" being 
redundant. Anyway, if ordered, sure. Little girls have been known to 
throw hand grenades or otherwise threaten soldiers. In fact,   
Islamofascists use children as suicide bombers.

"Incorrect" and "highly disputable" my foot. The Japs were prepared to 
defend their homeland to the last man, woman and child. Thank God there 
were people on our side, unlike Arlo, who were willing to defeat the 
enemy at the loss of as few lives as possible.
