I only have one thing to add to Platt's refutation of your post.  Those who 
defend the free market do NOT do so to protect wealth or the wealthy.  They 
do so because it is the best way to match rewards to worth for 
everyone.  In particular, patents & copyrights see that the efforts of 
inventors, artists, authors & intellectuals are rewarded.

By rewards, you mean the generation of wealth. The point is, there have to 
be "rules of engagement" in the market. Can we agree on that? (I don't want 
to recreate our last dialogue on this, I think we both made our points 
clear). Short of this, perhaps (also using Platt's demand for specificity 
in our other thread) we can bring this subject down from the abstract 
"rules and regulations" and talk about some specific rules or regulations 
you feel are "bad" and which ones you feel are "good". Also, return the 
workplace pre-1895, and explain to me the ways the "worker" had it better.
