David M: I think this is right on the money. Pirsig I believe
offers an entirely new kind of metaphysics and by jove
it fits with exactly what the cutting egde of science is pointing
at. Uncertainty and openness, yes, and these have political
consequences too, it says to me, yes, there is always an
alternative.
