[MD] A new great depression

Hi all

If another new & bigger depression came would we now accept on mass
being thrown out of our homes because we could not pay
our mortgages. What if the govn had to take emergency powers
to ensure basic provisions are received by all. What if, given
our current powers of productivity this could be done despite
mass unemployment? Would we want to overcome the depression
and put the current status quo and order back?
