Craig,
Nothing exists 4.5 billion years ago, nor 1 million years ago, nor 6000
years ago. Now only exists and the past, a human mental concept, only exists
in our perception of now. Your premise is; that time exists independent of
man - could you please show how you know this? Who could have put time
there (other than us)? What is time?

Let's look at a specific example: when did the earth come into existence?
1) 4.5 billion years ago (according to scientists)
2) 1 million years ago (according to early man)
3) 6,000 years ago (according to the Bible)
If 1) is correct, then the earth existed prior to our experience of it.
