Yes, that's it in a nutshell. S/O is the scientific worldview, originating in
and developed by Western civilization (not solely American). Just as the other
levels can be subdivided into value strata, so can the intellectual level. Today
we face a worldwide conflict between the bio-social level of radical Islam and
the socio-intellectual level of Western civilization, except that the intellectual
level of the West, in not understanding society's role in holding back biological
forces, is undercutting itself. Thus, we see many proposing to "cut and run" as
as the solution to terrorism in Iraq.

I agree that all cultures to one extent or another exhibit and have exhibited the
highest art level of the MOQ where value (degrees of the good) reigns supreme.
