Right you are.

The MOQ is "out of intellect" (in its capacity of being "out of 
SOM") but that doesn't mean the end of symbolism and definition 
(this I take to mean language...or?) I guess it's Pirsig's symbol- 
manipulation definition that causes the conclusion that if MOQ is 
outside intellect it means the end of "symbol manipulation". IMO 
intellect is the S/O and its impact on symbolism is merely 
dividing it into "symbol/what is symbolized".   

Now, intellect's being out of SOM-intellect creates a quasi level-
like relationship between the two and like all levels are built on 
the former levels' patterns  and use them for own purpose, all 
levels - INCLUDED INTELLECT - end up as the base for the 
MOQ and it will use all intellect's patterns for its own purpose. No 
need for meditation - rather for more logical thinking ;-)  

However, the level aspect is only valid to this point, the MOQ is 
all the static levels, but also the Dynamics behind it all, thus Art 
and all the grand concepts we have touched upon during our age-
long discussion - intuition, harmony, meaning, insight - can be 
seen as different facets of Quality.
