Hi SA
I would suggest that being a part of this larger
process of the cosmos we are open to change
as much as any other part, what we refer to as
awareness is inseparable from these changes that we
undergo, some relating to external changes,some to
internal ones (internal to that part which we are).
The amazing thing, is how we are able to 'know'
(be changed by) such diverse things, from the
smile of a stranger, to the light from an extinct star.
All these changes are,of course, experienced as
of value somewhere on a scale from dread to joy.
