As long as change is happening the awareness
changes, and thus, this change in awareness is a
change in our perception. What our perception is, is
all we know. Awareness is this knowing we undergo
amidst cosmos. A rain drop falls, thus, it does. My
awareness undergoes this change as drop falls and then
splatters.

Tension to relaxation are guides of change for
me. When I meditate I go where relaxation is. I may
experience dread, yet, some sadness helps ground me, I
feel better in this grounding. Too much of dread or
joy is unhelpful, of course, so, I rely upon tension
and relaxation as guides. To tense, then, I monitor
what I may or may not be doing correctly in
meditation. This boils down to not being quiet
enough. When I am quiet enough, then tension leaves,
I'm settling into this quietness that is not just me,
not just cosmos, it is present as both. Of course,
though, I don't want to continually experience dread,
and joy is a happy experience. I just don't want to
interfere with the experience during meditation, so,
this quiet is a good experience and maybe even a
better guide than relaxation, for, as I'm tense I
settle with quieting-that-is-an-effort-all-by-itself,
as I am relaxed, I settle with
quieting-that-is-an-effort-all-by-itself, too. Yet,
when I am tense, I am alert that I am not doing
something correctly as I am quieting.
watch as the this quiets, the sun disappears, the
clouds cover the stars, darkness is this night,
