you don't get it? honestly? what i meant by
'livingness of life'?....i'll assume you didn't and
weren't just being ironic.
okay: 'the livingness of life'...ever heard of david
chalmers and the hard problem of consciousness? that
illustrates, in a nice academic way, what 'livingness
of life' means. life is prior to and irreducible to
any conceptual breakdown of it.
consciousness is experience. there is something that
it is like to experience seeing green that cannot be
captured through a description of the corresponding
neurochemistry.
this hard problem can only be solved by *changing your
perspective*, that is by taking reality as NOW, as
life, as living, as process, as the dynamic present,
the everflowing flux. from this we abstract
everything, material or mental. these abstractions can
become a problem as they tend to *usurp* reality -
their source. dawkins does this. you seem to be doing
this. most 'educated' westerners probably do it: goes
with the territory i suppose.
you can't understand reality conceptually. it's that
simple.
