So, the intellect has been chosen to be divide v.
analogy or non-v. Some say intellect just divides the
world into subjects and objects. So, the intellect is
a meat-cutter and a chainsaw. Others say the
intellect is analogy, not just making analogies, but
an analogy. Still others say intellect does both or
none. Both, you may understand. By none, I mean the
meta-reality of quietness, dq, and thus, not
delineating the world with analogies and maybe
drinking tea and relaxing.
How is the intellect an analogy? I don't see
intellect as something that divides the world only.
For how does intellect differentiated what it has
divided, if all intellect does is divide? Subjects
can be a colony of plants in a scientific experiment.
Objects can be thoughts somebody is trying to
understanding and objectify. What of the intellects
identification ability, the analogies made? So, what
the intellect does therefore what it is? I lean
towards yes, for if practice of what one preaches is
as highly as we make it out to be, then an intellect
that practices analogy and divide and other activities
is therefore just being what it is.
Since intellect makes analogies, it is an
analogy, and any dividing might just be analogies
differentiating themselves, such as imagined political
boundaries. We are not dividing the world, we are
actually saying Canada is here and the U.S. is here,
but there is no gaping hole between the two. So, what
is an analogy? Maybe with dialogue, thus with help, I
might be able to answer these questions, but
especially this last one.
thanks.
ever darker,
SA
