Hi SA

An aside from - but touching on - the SOL-ution thread. You
seem to have re-enacted part of Phaedrus' role in ZMM when
confronted with the question if his Quality was subjective (an
analogy) or objective (non-analogy). This became an analysis of
SOM, and if accepting my proposition that SOM=Intellect, an
analysis of intellect.

Your conclusion (the 21 Jan) seems to be that intellect is nothing
but analogies.

> What of the intellects
> identification ability, the analogies made? So, what
> the intellect does therefore what it is? I lean
> towards yes, for if practice of what one preaches is
> as highly as we make it out to be, then an intellect
> that practices analogy and divide and other activities
> is therefore just being what it is.

and this is identical to the subjective horn of Phaedrus' dilemma.
And if you would bother to read that passage in ZMM you will see
that even if Phaedrus was able to avoid the objective (non-
analogy) horn he didn't like the other horn any better.

By and by he goes on to understand that that Quality is the
creator of both objectivity and subjectivity, in your terms: "...the
creator of both analogies and non-analogies". Then the said
proto-moq where "intellect" = the S/O divide, or in your terms:
Intellect=the analogy/non-analogy DISTINCTION.

If you are to re-invent the wheel you must complete its circle ;-)

IMO
