Yeah, there have been a few philosophers who've suggested that before, most 
of them Christian, and that would be a kind of idealism, in a way (Spinoza 
comes to mind).  There are ways to still get out of it, if one was so 
inclined.  I'm not too hip to the idea of a "divine mind," mainly because 
pragmatically it doesn't do much for you.  Once you've made the spin to 
pragmatism, which I think Pirsig's "Quality is reality" first principle does 
inherently, all the philosophical holes that one would patch up with 
idealism are already obselete.  But if there are other reasons to suggest a 
divine mind, then I leave that up to the poet inclined to do so.
