I wish my wife or I could stay home all the time
with our son. Society demands too much from us now.
To keep this little house and food on the table both
of us need to work. So three mornings a week off to
day care he goes.
By the way, at this age my son is around my wife
more often than I. It has something to do with the
mother part. Gender roles exist. I don't think they
can be totally erased. I know I provide a certain
male strength with my son. Also, at work most females
depend on the males to jump in when residents get way
out of hand. If the resident is a big male, no
females jump into the mix to take him down. Males can
provide a sense of security and thus calmness still.
