I really meant "affiliation" but the spell check suggested 
"affliction" and I thought it the correct way, sorry.

Again I must point to the 4th. level as static, meaning limited 
range. Ian agreees (his GOF) and perhaps Dwai too his 
"..intellect will only take us far enough to know", indicates that, 
but in spite of this, intellect seems to turn out a mental faculty. 
Which - first - kind of re-introduces SOM, and - secondly - stems 
from the orthodox way of subsuming/encasing SOM, namely that 
the lower levels are matter and the two upper are mind. I find the 
only way of "driving a stake through SOM's heart" is to see the  
4th level as the MIND/MATTER (subject/object, mental/corporeal, 
soul/body ...etc.) DISTINCTION itself.
