SA: Chris, that is a, and philosophically in deeper
roots, it is the problem in the U.S. The U.S. culture
is all about $. The U.S. culture is worried about
profit margin all the time. The U.S. president and
all presidential candidates are more concerned about
the economy than anything else, they have to be, for
as Marsha pointed out the U.S. mainstream population
is more concerned about the economy than anything
else. The U.S. president should be a CEO or a stock
market analyst for as much as the U.S. president has
to know the economy. The U.S. mainstream culture
needs a CEO president, it seems, to better manage the
U.S. $ for that's what the mainstream public demands,
a president that will put $ in each persons pocket.
That's what gets a presidential candidate elected or
not, one that makes the best economic argument with
the best economic plan it seems. Why a president has
to be so caught up and concerned with the economy so
intimately is beyond me?
I say -the- problem in the U.S. mainstream due
to the intellect is glossed over, unless, one is an
economic analyist, then maybe one could be president.
This many could agree upon here, what about what is
referred to as deeper values and morals? These deeper
values and morals would help people cope with the
world and not find $ to be the answer, but in a
culture that demands so much $ out of a
person/household, well, no wonder everybody is
concerned about $ in the U.S.
goin' to work soon, still night,
