Hadn't thought of it but now that you mention, not a bad idea. 
No reason why snow mobiles shouldn't be muffled like autos. That goes
for lawn mowers, chain saws, vacuum cleaners and other noisy machines.
Most jet airliners fly too high over national parks to be disturbing.

What do you think? Is peace and quiet conducive to your higher intellectual
and aesthetic patterns? Libraries, museums, churches, monestaries and upper
floors of skyscrapers -- all quiet sanctuaries for contemplation. Of high value
I think.
