[MD] What is SOM?

I'm living away from my beloved studio and due to that not fully 
concentrated. I see that my last post in this thread was a bit 
misleading and hope this will pre-empt your comments (if any)

It's the last sentence beginning with "If SOM ... which was meant 
to say ...is an operating system of Western intellect and some 
other (non-S/O) system dominates the Eastern intellect then 
intellect itself is the still deeper logical loops that all computers - 
independent of operating system installed - relies on, and if so the 
social level is an intellectual operating system too.

Bo now:
I guess Gavin's operating system corresponds to "a way of 
thinking" and if the West uses intellect to think along the S/O 
pattern and the East uses intellect along some non-S/O ditto, then 
THINKING itself is intellect and the MOQ is lost, we think when on 
the social level and we think when on the MOQ "level" (discussing 
Pirsig's ideas)
