[MD] "The Girl in the Cafe"

Greetings SA,

I think one could consider this film in a number of different ways: 
romantically, culturally, politically.  But I maybe it is best 
described by the static-dynamic relationship.  The young woman being 
the dynamic and the older gentleman being the static.  She enters his 
world, opens him to new possibilities which in turn affects the 
entire world he inhabits and moves them all forward towards 
betterment. Many were positively changed by this chance-dynamic encounter.

It was a quiet film, and big changes were accomplished 
regardless.  The film ended at a phone call which to me represented 
open communication.  The viewer is invited to participate by 
imagining the relationship's next step if they choose to, or not.  I 
don't like to analyze works-of-art too much, because I think to do so 
is to kill them, but I did enjoy this movie.   It left me feeling 
both sad and happy, but mostly quiet.
