Ron,
Ooops! I accidently deleted your post, but...
RMP has defined the levels as discrete, not continuous, not
both. Where did your use of the word 'continuous' come from?
Marsha
Ron:
Marsha,
what Krimel posted from Lila, contradicts what he wrote to Paul turner.
His statement :
"
They are discreet. They have very
>little to do with one another. Although each higher level is built on a
>lower one it is not an extension of that lower level."
conflicts with:
" Just as
>every biological pattern is also inorganic, but not all inorganic
>patterns are biological; and just as every social level is also
>biological, although not all biological patterns are social; so every
>intellectual pattern is social although not all social patterns are
>intellectual."
Ron:
sounds like they have much to do with each other and they do extend into
one another.
I'd like to know which it is.
Continuous is often used in contrast to discrete, that they flow into
one another continuously rather than separate and distinct.
