Hello Bo,

From this point we can argue the semantics of the logical systematic 
heirarchy you propose or get down to basics.
I could argue paradox and inconsistancy and you can claim misunderstanding.
But the real arguement is the one between Arete, the good, and objective truth.
If you can agree, they are both Quality ideas.
Excellence is the process of exceeding expectations or standards.
Truth is an arguement from the particular expereince to a universal concept.
It is a type of corresopondance between the two. Learning to make this
arguement successfully excells one above their peers, they exceed their
social expectations. In this way the "intellectual level" was and still is,
defined in our culture.This abilty to make certain types of arguements
 sets those who succeed at it above those who can not in social standing.
They have greater social value. 
In many ways the intellectual level may be viewed as a social caste in western
culture equalled only by celebrity and wealth.

Because analytic assumes the arguement from the particular to the universal as
an establishment of an objective "Gods eye" view, It gives the illusion of another
evolutionary static level. The level of the establishment of an "objective truth".

All of Pirsigs arguements against an objective dominated metaphysic and the 
exhaulting of a social excellence leads one to believe that the intellectual level
is indeed a western cultural myth, A cultural myth that has the highest social
value but does not value society.

This myth is easy to sell as THE truth, for the social tool of analytic arguement
yields high quality practicle results.

The value that may be gained from this insight is that the intellectual level
is the tool of the social level and if it does not serve the social level
it decays. 

In this light a successful intellectual level is that of the code of art, of individual creativity
and thought which serves society. Like wise a successful social level is one that serves
biology not surpress it. If the social surpressing certain biological urges is beneficial to 
the biological level, the social level flourishes if the intellectual  supressing certain
social level urges is beneficial the intellectual level flourishes.

 Objectivism is a certain western social urge that must be supressed to the benefit
of the social level in order for the intellectual level to flourish.
