"Emergence" doesn't explain anything. It's only a description of what
happened. It has the same meaning as "oops."

This use of 'emergence' is descriptive, rather than
explanitory-definitional and it is intended to be from
the level of 'many simple parts, with simple rules,
interacting in large numbers for resultant behaviors
(en masse) that are inexplicable in complexity in
their aggregate'...unpredictable in capability if all-you
-have-to-look-at is the rule set for the simple parts.
*Joe, we have used "evolutionary" in that way, yes.
