so rather than talk about the supremacy of a hollow western culture let's
celebrate the unification of the world's peoples on this new years day. for it
is this that is our only hope and our common destiny.

In Platt's wingnut world, the only hope we have is for everyone else in the
world to realize the Moral Supremacy of White America and cast aside all their
inferior, immoral ways and live as he does. And the barbarians within our own
walls (gays, e.g.) should also be stoned lest the recognize the Morally
Superior Life of Platt. 

As I've said many times, this is NOT about looking around the world, seeing who
got what right, seeing what's important and what's cultural dress, or as I've
said "learning another's language while teaching your own". No. This is about
proclaiming the Absolute and Total Moral Superiority of Platt's Culture. 

But, to give the opportunity for error, I would ask of Platt... in what ways
are any non-white, non-American cultures morally superior to his? In what ways
is American "black culture", or "cajun culture" morally superior to his? In
what ways are Inuit culture, Maori culture, Japanese culture, Lakota culture,
Brazillian culture, Hispanic culture... any of these.. morally superior to his
own?

What Platt wants is for the world to masturbate to the American National
Anthem, and for the barbaric "darkies" and sexual miscreants that invade our
soil to go away. And he tries to use Pirsig to support this. Shame on us all.
