circumstances matter, was my point.
Platt is a totalitarian - following rhetorical party directives
independent of the circumstance - even when I offered a whole range of
simple cases - I still have sufficient goodwill left to persist in
showing him the error of his ways ;-) But circumstances change, and
when my goodwill runs out we can just nuke the bastard.
Your words on democracy are really good ...
(Unusually for a Brit - I believe a good constitution - and a
judiciary to uphold it - is crucial to maintaining values in a free
democratic society. An idea I pushed under "governance" on here once
or twice before.)
