Marsha,
This is where I have trouble calling myself anything. I've wrestled with
This for awhile, I can't say I do not believe in god, because I do
Believe in the spov of god as DQ, that's how the great spirit was
Explained to me, plus I've always kinda felt this in my bones
>From a kid on up. The connectedness we share with all.
So I can't really say I don't believe in that.
When asked, usually I say I believe in god,
Just not the god everybody else believes in.
I have a relationship with the universe whether I choose
To acknowledge it or not, I endeavor to move in harmony with it.
Labeling myself just goes against my grain. I'm not an atheist
Nor a theist yet I agree with portions of both philosophies.
I'm me, with my own beliefs, this has usually caused a fuss
>From both camps.
I would never say my way is best or the true or the only way.
I do however, encourage people to think for themselves and
Develop their own beliefs in these matters.
That much I agree with Harris.
If I'm against anything it's absolutism. Taking hard stances
Against broad general concepts like: religion is evil
Or atheists are immoral. It demonstrates a total lack
Of understanding.

Does god exist as a spov? Yes.
Religious traditions using extensive definition, doctrine and dogma
state god (spov) is equivalent to DQ.
I reject the existence of that god.
I am an atheist.
